It was with the noble intention of spreading the bright rays of sound, standard and quality education at affordable cost to the down trodden rural students in their own surroundings and to put of the evil of illiteracy from among the rural population,the philanthropist and educationists and their friends established a charitable trust known as Kongu Educational Society, Velagoundampatty, Namakkal (Tk) in Namakkal District. which is, fortunately or unfortunately, an undeveloped as well as under developed area and so the Kongunadu Matric Hr Sec School. Velagoundampatty, Namakkal (Dt) was established in the year 1986.

And there is a long yearning for providing standard education specializing English for the economically weaker, socially neglected and educationally backward rural mass. For the same high honour, Rajan Educational Charitable Trust,Velagoundampatty, Thiruchengode (Tk) in Namakkal District, was established in 2001. With the same spirit and enthusiasm, in order to impart high standard of quality education which would match international standards, the founders established the following educational institutions, Kongunadu Hr. Sec. School. (Tamil medium), Velagoundampatty.Kongunadu Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Nallipalayam, Namakkal.

                  As the thirst for education could not be quenched by the above  educational   institutions, there was a crying need for collegiate education catering to the catchment area where pecuniary conditions rule the roost, an ardent and enthusiastic soul, the founders of kongunadu Educational Charitable Trust undaunted by the oddities, as though  was a messiah of education, established at a popular educational location at D.Gudalore on Karur - Dindigul state highway,  Kongunadu Polytechnic College a place of peace and tranquility,  in the year, 20010A.D.
